Capture Spring in Print — on Fabric, by Hand
Tulips, narcissus, fritillaries — spring bulbs are bold, graphic, and made for print, yet they are also among the most challenging plants to work with. In this 3-hour morning workshop at Studio XiXi, you’ll learn how to capture spring in print on hand-cut fabric.
What makes this workshop special:
🌷 Work with real spring flowers
Fresh tulips and bulbs are your materials — seasonal, tactile, and full of character.
🌿 Leave with botanical designs on fabric
You’ll create a set of original botanical prints on fabric — unique pieces to hang on your wall, either framed or displayed casually with wooden hangers.
🧘 Slow, mindful making
No experience needed. The process is meditative and suitable for anyone.
About the workshop:
We begin in a hidden courtyard to set an intention, before moving into the studio for the creative session.
In the studio, you’ll learn the fundamentals of botanical printmaking and watch a demonstration. After that, you’ll use a selection of spring bulbs to compose your own design on fabric.
The pace is intentionally slow. There’s no rush, no pressure, and no prior experience needed — just curiosity, a connection to the natural world, and a few hours to create with your hands.
All materials are provided. You’re welcome to come alone or bring a friend along for the day. 🌿

Zizi explained everything clearly, and all the materials provided were of excellent quality. Her studio is warm and inviting, with a lovely selection of coffee and tea, plus a delicious homemade cake. If you’re looking for a mindful, cosy workshop that connects art and nature, this is a perfect choice!"
