Capturing certain flowers has been one of the most challenging parts of my work — sometimes even impossible. After finally being able to translate the beauty of roses and narcissi into print, I feel ready to open a new chapter.

I would love to transform your wedding bouquet into a lasting artwork — a piece you can hang in your home and return to, holding the joy of your day for years to come.

Each print is handprinted from your real flowers, making every artwork completely unique and deeply personal.

Those meaningful emotions are what I try to capture in my prints — along with the quiet, often unnoticed moments in nature, turned into something lasting.

Capturing the beauty of a rose is not easy. But I was inspired by the beautiful pressed rose collection of @jamjar_edit @amy_fielding, which encouraged me to try again… after probably a hundred attempts.

And look how beautifully this one turned out. I’m feeling humbled and grateful.

Today I’m sharing a personal story — mainly to raise awareness as the outdoor season is upon us.

As many of you know, I’m a former florist turned botanical artist. I spend many hours in nature where I find calm, inspiration, and the materials for my work.

Last year, I was bitten by a tick. I’m usually very aware and cautious about them, so to this day, I still don’t know how it happened. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, these things do happen.

If you spend time in nature — walking, gardening, or foraging — here are a few small things that can help reduce the risk:

• Stay on the path as much as possible
• Wear long trousers and tuck your socks into them
• Use repellents or natural oils to help keep ticks away
• When you return home, leave your clothes in the entrance or laundry area
• Check your body carefully — ticks can be very tiny, so it’s good to check again over the next few days.

I was lucky. I didn’t get any diseases because I noticed it within a few days. Unfortunately, neither I nor my GP could fully remove it, and since my skin was already red and swollen, I was put on antibiotics right away.

My intention isn’t to scare you — only to raise awareness. Nature gives me so much peace and inspiration, and I hope we can all continue enjoying it safely.

Over the past few years, paper prices have risen dramatically — almost like gold.

For a long time, I kept my print prices unchanged, as I still had stock from earlier production runs. But recently, when printing new work, I was faced with a decision.

Should I switch to a more affordable paper?

I ordered samples. I compared. I considered.

But from the very beginning of XiXi, I fell in love with Hahnemühle German Etching paper — and nothing else brings out the depth, texture, and quiet beauty of my botanical prints in the same way.

I want you to feel that the moment you hold your print in your hands.
The weight.
The texture.
The quality.

I deeply value sustainability and craftsmanship. And so I chose to continue with the same museum-quality paper — even though it meant adjusting my prices.

Because some things are worth preserving. 🌿

Last week, I was one happy girl to be given the opportunity to work with mimosas. My client holds the fondest memories of mimosas blooming in her grandmother’s garden and wanted to capture these bright, joyful flowers in an artwork.

It was a delight to work with them—their color and scent brought me so much joy. One piece emerged, and my client wrote to me:

Yes—mimosas are beautifully in season. A favourite for many, these bright, fluffy blooms are a wonderful way to bring a touch of sunshine to winter days. 🌼

To keep your mimosas looking their best, place them in a cool area, mist lightly for added humidity, and refresh with lukewarm water. For extra fullness, a small dash of aspirin or a brief steam refresh can help revive their signature fluff. 💛

A personal note: I love mimosas just as much when they naturally soften—when their fluff fades and their vibrant yellow mellows into a more muted, elegant tone.

Yes—mimosas are beautifully in season. A favourite for many, these bright, fluffy blooms are a wonderful way to bring a touch of sunshine to winter days. 🌼

To keep your mimosas looking their best, place them in a cool area, mist lightly for added humidity, and refresh with lukewarm water. For extra fullness, a small dash of aspirin or a brief steam refresh can help revive their signature fluff. 💛

A personal note: I love mimosas just as much when they naturally soften—when their fluff fades and their vibrant yellow mellows into a more muted, elegant tone.
