Over the past few years, paper prices have risen dramatically — almost like gold.

For a long time, I kept my print prices unchanged, as I still had stock from earlier production runs. But recently, when printing new work, I was faced with a decision.

Should I switch to a more affordable paper?

I ordered samples. I compared. I considered.

But from the very beginning of XiXi, I fell in love with Hahnemühle German Etching paper — and nothing else brings out the depth, texture, and quiet beauty of my botanical prints in the same way.

I want you to feel that the moment you hold your print in your hands.
The weight.
The texture.
The quality.

I deeply value sustainability and craftsmanship. And so I chose to continue with the same museum-quality paper — even though it meant adjusting my prices.

Because some things are worth preserving. 🌿

Last week, I was one happy girl to be given the opportunity to work with mimosas. My client holds the fondest memories of mimosas blooming in her grandmother’s garden and wanted to capture these bright, joyful flowers in an artwork.

It was a delight to work with them—their color and scent brought me so much joy. One piece emerged, and my client wrote to me:

Oh wow! Such kind words. I feel so happy and humbled that I could create this connection through my work. Now we’re deciding on the final details, and soon this beauty will fly to its forever home—to remind my client of her beloved grandmother in the small, everyday moments of life.

Yes—mimosas are beautifully in season. A favourite for many, these bright, fluffy blooms are a wonderful way to bring a touch of sunshine to winter days. 🌼

To keep your mimosas looking their best, place them in a cool area, mist lightly for added humidity, and refresh with lukewarm water. For extra fullness, a small dash of aspirin or a brief steam refresh can help revive their signature fluff. 💛

Hard to believe it’s been 6.5 years

That was the autumn–winter exhibition for the new studio. Soon, this space will hold new prints for spring and summer.

Instead of storing these pieces, I’m gifting 7 artworks (framed) from this wall, valued at ~€700.

Things aren’t as easy or fun as they once were.

Instagram has become a very challenging place for me—it feels like I work for it, instead of it working for my business. Everything feels overwhelming: reaching new people, navigating crowded markets, I’m shifting direction slightly, with no solid plans for the year ahead.

I do have a few sparks of inspiration calling me to bring them to life, and I’m choosing to follow those and see where they lead. That’s where I’ll put my energy and let the year unfold.
